IT Academy eLearning Courses program provides educators with the tools they need to effectively learn Microsoft technologies, as well as prepare learners for a global economy, and create a skilled SAISD community.
Topics include a range of items such as:
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- Microsoft Server and Exchange Server
- Microsoft SQL and ASP.NET

To request a professional learning session, please be sure to follow the process below:
- Review courses available. Using the 4 digit code listed, you can also SEARCH on that code to see a short description of the course.
- Complete this online form with approval from your supervisor. Only choose 3 courses at a time!!
- Expect a follow up contact from Josie Salas (jsalas2@saisd.net; 527-1400) to confirm the professional learning. The follow-up email you will receive will include 1) an access code to your IT Academy course; 2) a link to the IT Academy course. Please note that you will be prompted to create a Windows Live ID if you do not have one already.
- Upon completion of the IT Academy eLearning course(s), you must complete this form notifying SAISD that you have completed the course.
- Wait a few days and then check your ePath transcript to ensure you have been awarded credit.
Please be aware of the following:
- You must use Internet Explorer 6 or higher to successfully navigate the eLearning courses.
- You may see the cost of an eLearning course on the catalog page, however, these courses have already been paid for by the Technology & Integration Department.
- If you wish to complete a certificate exam, you will need to pay the exam fee. Successful completion will result in a reimbursement of the exam fee pending confirmation. Please note that reimbursement of the exam fee is only available for Technology & Integration Department staff.
