The District accepts donations of new and used hardware. All equipment must be in good working condition at the time it is donated. The District reserves the right to accept or reject donations of new or used hardware. In addition, minimum standards of microprocessor, RAM, networking hardware, operating system, software, and system maintenance will be upheld.

It is the responsibility of the prospective recipient campuses/departments to follow and adhere to the guidelines. Any additional cost are the responsibility of the school receiving the donated equipment.

All accepted donated equipment will go to the school intended by the donor. In the event that the equipment is donated to the District with no clear indication of a donation site, the Technology Department will decide placement.

Please contact SAISD via Yesenia Alvarez at 210-244-2900, if you have any questions or comments regarding these guidelines.

SAISD Campuses & Departments

If you are approached by a company willing to donate equipment, refer to the SAISD Administrative Procedures C-Business and Support Services No. 22 – Acceptance of Donations, for guidelines on donated items. You will need to complete the form below that will notify the SAISD Technology Department (Yesenia Alvarez; yalvarez@saisd.net; 210-244-2900) who reserves the right to accept or reject donations of new and/or used hardware.

Once the donated equipment has been approved, you will need to notify Fixed Assets so tags can be issued and the equipment added on to your campus/department inventory. All accepted donated equipment will go to the school intended by the donor.

All equipment must be in good working condition, operational without the need of repair, upon receipt. It’s NOT in your best interest to spend time and/or money to upgrade or integrate donated equipment into your classrooms.

Please contact Yesenia Alvarez at 210-244-2900, if you have any questions or comments regarding these guidelines.
